• The Body

  • Scale Color: White along most of her form, with dark blue scales along her lower jaw, neck, thigh, underbelly and the lower reaches of her tail.
  • Scale Texture: Scale are thick, jagged and platelike across her torso, noticably jagged and wide around her bosom and scalloped at the bridge of her snout and forehead.
  • Ridges and Horns: Noticable ridges at the bridge of her snout and over the blue portions of her body. Two thick, noticably blackened and arched horns form a smooth rise and fall with plenty of cracks forming along them. Several spines protrude from her along her back, neck, skull and tail, acting as protection.
  • Eye Color: Red, turned cyan over time due to heavy magical augmentation.

• Her Story

  A forlorn keep rests deep, deep beneath ice and stone. Long ago, in it's prime, this keep was a sanctuary to all manner of beings. A powerful focus of magic, this place was more then just a simple structure. It was a portal between worlds, a phasing anomaly of ice, crystal and stone. It's halls shifted as if they were alive, it's rooms almost like gateways to unique environments. Some warm, some grassy, others cold or inhospitable. It's inner machinations were simply the will of a single being.
  
  Eons ago, Vexa was born as one of a long lineage of while-scaled dragons. Like many of her kin before her, knowledge and the arcane arts was her forte. She saught it out in any way she could. Disguising herself as one of a multitude of races in order to gain access to knowledge that would usually be out of reach for her kind...or simply seeking out others whom would be willing to tutor her. In time, she had become linked to many of the great magic academies of her world.
  
  In a world beset by war and plagued with disruptions in the magic ether , helpful and tempered mind came in handy. Vexa offered just that. Rather then focus on forms of magic that would be used to harm others, she focused on the inventive and utilizable. Using this and the help of several other powerful magic users - including her own kin, one Baxtha'ar - a new structure rose in the frozen north. One that would shift in and out of their plane of reality on unpredictable occasions.
  
  Having been built to be a place of knowledge and sanctuary for those lost and in need of assistance, the travelling keep had opened it's gates to the public, be they whom and what they may be. Vexa , seeing an opportunity to both act as a leader and a teacher, took the mantles of Caretaker and Warden of Yore. This gave her the duties of both acting as a ruler of the colossal, city-sized keep, as it's archivist and acting advisor to it's people.
  
  Yet, as always, such things cannot last forever. In time, war broke out amongst the people of the sanctuary itself. Baxtha'ar, whom had stayed within the sanctuary alongside his mate to help further his legacy in an environment where learning was sacred, had been engaged in a long feud with the resident gnoll tribes. Their presence had always awakened a certain level of unease amongst the people living there, for whilst they were needy when they came in they had now begun to overstay their welcome and act hostile.
  
  Their magic directly related to their demonic god, it eventually sparked a conflict when - in an attempt to end their feud - the gnoll's high shaman unleashed a magical spell that not only slew their draconic foe and his kin...but also shattered a fifth of the entire fortress, killing half of their own and many other innocents in the process, as well as disrupting the phasing magic that kept the keep going. Now trapped and unable to leave, an all out battle for dominance had begun within. Vexa, feeling great pain that her new paradise had become tainted, watched as many of her students and friends fought and died on her behalf. Even with her will able to manipulate the inner workings of the keep itself, she found herself being countered by her foes and the chaos from the battle disrupting her thoughts.
  
  One day, the keep had begun to phase into a solid state of reality. Whatever world they'd ended up in, the faulty translocation ended up burying them under snow and rock. It was on this day that Vexa had joined in on one of the many battles. Rage still burned within her heart - for her kin had been slain unjustly. But even the smallest of creatures could harm one as large as herself. A stray volley of ballista shots struck her body, inflicting mortal wounds. Seeing no end in sight to the ongoing conflict and her body slowly failing, she unleashed one final spell.
  
  Encasing herself in a layer of ice, she froze her body into the form of a statue, allowing it to enter a state of hibernation where it could begi nto heal itself. Adding to this, her will went dormant...but before it sputtered, her final act was to cause the interior of the keep to be effected by a violent burst of wild magic. The beings inside, on both sides, were vaporized instantly by the reaction. Pained and defeated, she lay in hibernation, licking her wounds...waiting for the right time to rise up into the world above and see just where she has ended up.

• The Persona

  With a strong sense of right and wrong, Vexa is often described as being noble, wise and often times too full of herself. Rarely does she notice this, often times believing that everything she does is for the better good. Regardless of this, she does not tend to think others are always wrong. Unlike many powerful beings, she does not consider other, smaller creatures to be lesser. In fact, having observed their deeds across countless worlds - including her own - she found that they had fantastic potential that her own stuburn people could not fathom.
  
  Motherly affection is something that she tends to radiate quite often. Any being - even those of her own kind - that are younger then her, she tends to take a liking to the most. Her attitude reflects this, often being seen as a wonderful mother figure. Whilst she finds herself drawn to taking care of them, she often times ovedoes it, even coddling or babying them as if they didn't know any better.
  
  Elders or those who've displayed significant inteligence are often times her favorite people to have a mental debate with. Talking is something she has had no small share of during her long existance, and she finds it quite enlightening to learn more about a new species, a new group of people or simply a new THING.
  
  And thanks to that, she is also a very curious being. She bombards others with questions, tends to observe from a distance and involve herself when she can. Her latent curiousity can easily lead her to ruin, even when she uses that oh-so-profound-wisdom to try getting out of it. Sometimes retreat can be a good option.
  
  Lastly, as mentioned , she considers her sense of right and wrong absolute. Due to this, she considers herself a strong moral authority and willing to act as judge upon others. Sometimes even appointing herself the savior of a land she hardly knows anything about. Though often times this simply requires someone knocking the old being down a peg. Helping her get some perspective.
